The best ideas remain only that, unless someone takes action to make them a reality. Evelyn Lehman was that kind of “someone.” She understood the ideals of Soroptimist and was instrumental in the birth of Soroptimist International of Sequim.

Evelyn was a Charter Member. In the early years of the club there were Soroptimist Pot Luck meetings in the basement of Evelyn’s home. It is said home is where the heart is.

It is obvious Evelyn was at home as a Soroptimist. Her heart ever giving, Evelyn was a Soroptimist for more than half of her life. What she gave started as a ripple on the local level, moving through to District, Region, International and beyond. Evelyn’s dedication has inspired us all. She was treasurer of SI/Sequim for many years and we treasure the spirit she shared with our club. Evelyn was truly a woman who made a difference. We will miss her presence, but will always be grateful for the presents she shared. Evelyn, we thank you!
