DALE SIMON

Dale and her husband Gil moved to Sequim early this year. They opened a business in Carlsborg called Stained Glass Overlay.

  MARIE ANGIER

Marie moved to Sequim with her family in 1968 from Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Sequim High School. That was the same year she received a Washington State Honor Thespian Award (only 7 given that year).

Marie began her banking career in 1977. She worked her way through every phase of branch banking and is now the branch manager of Olympic Bank in Sequim.

Marie married Tom Angier 8 years ago. He works in Port Angeles as Asst. Attorney General. Tom is a good stepfather to Jayne, their 12-year-old daughter who is a 7th grader at Sequim Middle School.

Their family hobbies include: camping, hiking, sightseeing adventures, and playing with their two cats - Cuddles and Dodge. Marie enjoys crafting hand made cards, reading, cross-stitching, walking, candles and sitting outside on her rocking chair.

Marie has participated in many community activities:

President (1980's) Olympic Peninsula Chapter of American Institute of Banking,
Rotary Club of Sequim member: Secretary for two years, past President (99-00). During her year as President, the club received the Significant Achievement Award (only one in their district) for their dictionary project.

She was Chair of the Sequim Irrigation Festival Parade the past four years and will chair the entire festival for the upcoming year.

She has been chair of the annual Olympic Medical Center Gala Event (black tie), which was held 10/12/02.

She was born and raised in Chicago, as was her husband. Dale attended the University of Illinois at Champagne - Urbana, graduating with a degree in Science Education. She and her husband have two married sons, but no grand children.Dale has always enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, traveling, cooking and antiquing. She was an antique dealer for 21 year. Dale decorated 200 Bob Evans Restaurants during the time she lived in Westerville, Ohio.

Dale still dabbles in antiques - specializing in buttons, postcards, lace and quilts. She loves to collect vintage toys and tiny high button shoes. Dale has enjoyed being in other organizations and says she has a lot to look forward here.


 

MEGAN O'DONNELL

Megan worked at Salt River Project - an electric utility in Arizona, for 14 years. During that time, she completed the first two years of her Business degree at Community Colleges in the metro area of Arizona.

She completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration through the University of Phoenix. Until Megan moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 1991 with her husband Dave she had always lived in the Southwest.

Megan began a Graduate Program for Individual Financial Planning in 1997. The program was completed through City University, headquartered in Bellevue, WA. While completing the program she began working in the financial services industry. With personal family life experience as a guide, Megan began working as an insurance representative with a health insurance provider whose niche market is self-employed people that want to structure policy benefits to meet their personal needs. In addition she worked two years with Bankers Life Insurance where she focused her attention on building strong asset protection strategies against long-term medical expenses. Megan is a strong proponent for women to become personally empowered through control of their finances and their understanding of potential obstacles to meet financial goals.

Funds were raised for the resource center that will be located in the new Cancer Care Center in Sequim.

Marie was chair of Olympic/Kitsap Bank corporate party for 2002. She is Campaign Chair for Olympic Theatre Arts.Marie says she is very much looking forward to working with and becoming friends with people that have their hearts set on helping women, children, and our wonderful Sequim community.

She has two dog family members, Roscoe & Maddie, and enjoys working at home with them around her when she is not at work. Her hope is to become a valued member of the Soroptimist Club, where she can extend her hand to others in return for the many things in life that she is grateful for.

Megan enjoys the beauty of the NorthWest, the smallness of the Sequim community, and the joy of being able to give.

SUE ELLEN RIESAU

Sue Ellen grew up in New Mexico and has a background in music and marketing. She studied classical voice, vocal jazz and musical theatre in high school and college.





The crowd gives the leader new strength.

After college she received special training in marketing and sales from Yamaha International to manage a Yamaha piano and music store in San Luis Obispo, California. Later, as a field assistant for Sunbelt Communications she conducted marketing research and focus groups for RKO Radio (among
others) in the fifty major markets. During this period of time she was the lead singer for "Oasis" a jazz band in San Luis Obispo that is still around and cooking up good music. In 1984 she met her husband Rick and they have a son, Arlen, who is a junior at Sequim High School.

Sue Ellen Riesau has lived and worked in Sequim for 13 years. She and her family moved here from California in 1989. Since moving to Sequim, she has been employed by and/or on the board of Olympic View Publishing, "The Sequim Gazette". She started as Office Manager in May of 1989 and was promoted to Publisher in June of this year.

She has served on the boards of the Peninsula College Foundation, Sequim, 2000, and the Open Aire Market and is currently on the board of United Way and the Sequim Community Foundation.

She is very interested in community and quality of life issues. In an effort to be more effective on boards and learn about non-profit structure, she has completed nearly 100 hours of certificate training in grant writing. Sue Ellen's passions are gardening especially the growing flowers part…and her family.
